Fact and Fiction

Here in the United States, it’s Election Day.

That today is not a National Holiday on par with July 4th and Thanksgiving is nothing short of a tragedy (but then, the way Thanksgiving is disappearing from the cultural consciousness, maybe that’s not the best example).  Still, today is a critical and important day.  No, I won’t try to persuade you to vote.  At this point, you either are going to vote or you won’t.  Even if the election was still pending, I wouldn’t try to persuade you to vote.  Instead, I would persuade you to educate yourself.

Educated people vote.

Not educated in the sense of schooling or higher ed.  Educated means in this case, understanding the world around them, understanding the implications of their actions and inactions.  Understanding the candidates, the issues, understanding the facts and not the spin.  Educated people vote.  So no, I won’t ask you to vote.  I’ll ask you to educate yourself.  What happens from there is up to you.

Outside the election, a new story went live on Saturday.  I’m sorry about the delay.  Sometimes computers just don’t like to play nice. Rehab Nightmare is up in the Serials and Short Stories section.  Go check it out.

Also, for those of you who don’t know, RocKaiju is available for pre-order through Amazon.  The official release date is January 17th but you can go ahead and secure your copy now.  Which, you know, I’d really love for you to.

Take care!

    1. Yep. Rhest for the Wicked 2 (currently titled Rhest of the Time, until my publisher talks some sense into me) is about to begin editing. A Winter 2017 release isn’t out of the question, but I couldn’t say how likely that is at this stage.
